A special welcome
Water fun and healing through water
Following its renovation, Stolzenau outdoor pool now features a special gallery: as soon as visitors arrive, they encounter works exploring “Fun in the water and the healing power of water”.
Under the guidance of Lilia Gavrilenko, eight students from Kunstschule Mittelweser took part in the federal project “Art in Architecture” with thirteen works for almost two years. They combined an old and a new technique: mosaic sections meet painting. The young people aged 13 to 18 were able to express their thoughts and feelings on the subject of water.
The works create a direct connection to the public place and invite visitors to perceive the renovated outdoor pool in a new way.
